Robin Hood statue, most famous Robin Hood statue.

Above: Short silent newsreel clip showing the unveiling of the Robin Hood Statue and wall plaques on Nottingham Castle Green. Outside the known to be cursed Nottingham Castle Gate House, on Castle Green, stands the most famous statue of Robin Hood. James Woodford's statue was sculpted in 1952 and presented to the city by a local businessman.
It is surrounded by small studies of Little John, Friar Tuck, Alan A Dale and Will Scarlet, whilst wall plaques illustrate various scenes from the legend of Robin Hood and his Merry Men.

Robin Hood and Marian statue

This excellent contemporary statue of Robin Hood proposing to Maid Marian stands on the narrow high street of Edwinstowe, just 200 yards down hill from the church where Robin Hood and Maid Marian were married. It is life sized, and would surely benefit from a more prominent location than that it in which it is currently placed.
